I did fiberglass the hull up to the side trims, but not the keel. The keel is solid and warps with changing temps. Glassing the keel will cause leaks in time. Fiberglass resins are tough as nails to sand.

John did you fiberglass your sail boat. And did you use body filler to fill screw holes. Was it hard to sand.

Congratulations on the first launching and sailing of the Spirit! It was wonderful seeing the wind catch the sails and the freedom of the Spirit gliding at a fast pace across the water. What a site to witness. Thanks for sharing this with us. Watching the crew work together was exciting. Great work with the camera Adele With a few minor adjustments Spirit will sail on many voyages, and teach many how to walk by God's spirit in the voyage of life. The Spirit is an awesome accomplishment. The vessel is sea worthy for sure.
